Atlassian is looking for an inspired leader to help take the craft of program management to the next level through amplifying our community of practice in a Team Anywhere world. You will build and nurture a highly engaged community of practice and unleash the power of the team while we scale our growth exponentially and globally. You will help grow the craft of program management, enabling the teams, and operating the organisation.

You’ll help us prioritise and focus flow across our leadership team and our 160+ team mates, with a multiplying effect broader across Atlassian. You will be an important partner to the Head of Program Management, and responsible for promoting the engagement, growth, communication, and community building of the program management craft.

 

Reporting directly to the Head of Program Management, you will oversee…

 

  • Growing the program management and scrum master communities of practice. You’ll have a pulse on the organisational health, and will help to create a strong community of program managers, connecting them to each other in order to grow in their craft. You’ll also help connect them to the external community bringing the best of Atlassian program management to the industry and bring the best of the industry to Atlassian. You will deeply understand the hearts and minds of the team and grow and nurture the community.
  • Operating the department as a trusted extension of the Head of Program Management to ensure organisational effectiveness. Enhance our PgM leadership team through creating flow across our team ceremonies, driving quality across our process, planning, goal setting and tracking, and other important components to our operational muscle. You will be the heartbeat of communication, organising and facilitating team offsites, Town Halls, newsletters, craft conferences, etc.
  • Driving organisational projects forward. You’ll take on driving important projects to the function such as talent cycles, organisation health, “teaminess”, skill building, talent pipeline, and our budget activities. This will include cross-cutting project management with stakeholders that sit in many different parts of Atlassian.

    We’d love for you to have:

     

  • 5+ years relevant experience in a similar role such as Program or Project Management, Operations, Change Management, Agile Coach.
  • Experience navigating complex software organisations, working with all roles and levels
  • Experience leading communities of practice to promote skill building, engagement, and connectedness
  • Change management skills with the knack of deeply understanding the human elements of change and needed communication and strategies
  • Experience communicating for impact to all levels of audience and all types of roles. An energy generator!
  • A desire to constantly learn and grow in the role.
