Atlassian is looking for an experienced analyst relations leader with a deep understanding of the industry analyst landscape and strong relationships with IT, Software Development, and Collaboration analyst influencers. You will lead the Atlassian analyst relations program, crafting and driving the company’s AR strategy and partnering with key stakeholders across the business to execute on the strategy. Director of Analyst Relations is a strategic advisor to the business, bringing analysts’ insights to our executives to help the development of strategy and priorities.

You’ll be part of a global communications team, reporting to the Head of Product Communications, and managing an external Spotlight AR agency and a contractor on the team.

 

Key responsibilities include:

 

  • Create an AR strategy to influence, educate, and secure endorsements from leading analysts in our most important topic areas.
  • Ensure ongoing coverage in reports, evaluations and research.
  • Support communications and marketing initiatives with analyst research and industry validation.
  • Create, nurture, and manage positive relationships with industry analysts, serving as a key, centralized contact point and connector.

    Manage analyst relations agency Spotlight and a contractor on the team for ongoing execution of the program, including:

     

  • Maintaining an analyst database that outlines the most relevant and influential global analysts based on their ownership of strategic research reports and their interactions with global media, financial markets, and customers.
  • Monitoring analyst research agenda and coverage, and share relevant research with all internal stakeholders.
  • Creating messaging for analyst briefings to set Atlassian apart from the competition.
  • Preparing, writing and editing analyst presentations and materials, contributed stories, press releases, quotes and case studies.
  •  

    On your first day, we’d love you to have:

     

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in business-to-business analyst relations, preferably for another Fortune 500 firm.
  • Ability to build and run analyst relations programs.
  • Experience in influencing key decision makers on communications programs.
  • Deep experience of major and boutique analyst firms (Gartner, Forrester, IDC, 451 Research, etc.).
  • Spokesperson capabilities with the ability to articulate key messages, address complicated objections and produce positive perceptions
  • An eye for simplifying sophisticated topics and technologies to their essence, and the curiosity and aim to discover newsworthy information
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally and across global geographies with remote colleagues and partners
  • Great writing skills, with a love for penning messaging platforms and executive speaking points.
  • High-energy and the ability to be scrappy and multi-task to prioritize high profile projects and juggle urgent inbound requests with ease.
